The one-of-a-kind and household celebrity designer brand, FRISKMEGOOD has done it again with her "Frisky Fest" fashion show in Cleveland Ohio. From A-list celebrities such as Cardi B to Ciara, to Kat Graham, the tennis-shoe design corsets make a subtle stop back to where it all started. Cierra Boyd, the designer behind the unique designs, is no stranger to thinking outside of the box when it comes to fashion but at this particular show, she helped others find their light and moment to shine. From start to finish, her message was crystal clear and very loud on pushing the narrative of inclusion, ownership, and confidence. For what it meant to her to include as many unique types as possible, it meant even more to the artists and models that she actually showed true passion behind the related interest of fashion and growth in her hometown. "I want people to leave this show feeling inspired and that their art matters and that they can do this themselves" Cierra stated when asked what she wanted people to take her from this fashion show. Needless to say, the inspiration sparked a lot of growth in models as they sounded off their motivation to do more and be as fierce and unapologetic as FRISKMEGOOD's very own.

As the night progressed, spectators witnessed a certain comfortability in talent that is usually bottled up and controlled outside of local shows. How the talent lit the runway was by showcasing their personality and their perception of what it meant to be true which in fact helped sell the show. The community and the surrounding areas know what it means to be constricted and restrained to norms of the industry but redefining the standard is what brought out the best of the best. China Robertson, below, was well prepared for the show as she shared her love for the unity and support of the "family" formed around her at this particular show. "It's a sense of urgency [preparing for this show] and everyone feels a slight pressure to do a little bit more but that brings a lot of support to everyone" she shared. In the midst of her final stages, she lit the runway with multiple designs as she took her entire skillset to multiple designers and left it all on the floor.

There was an unprecedented collective to network and uplift one another as all the talent shared their interest in meeting others and finding new ways to diversify their skillsets and future endeavors. With a career on the rise and high hopes to exceed expectations for herself, Anise Armstrong, below, made it a priority to flow like water in the FRISKY atmosphere. "I expect a lot of good energy being that this is my second show with Cierra. Making those connections and building that network is most important for my career right now" Anise stated. As high fashion as she looks and with so much potential for the young superstar, Armstrong sets sail to bring a one-of-a-king look to the industry as she jumps back into runway after taking a hiatus; the irony of timing could not have come at a better time. For the betterment of the artistry, Anise has a never before seen look that the world has yet to catch on to but she makes it known that she is ready to do all the work.

Models became much more than blank canvas thanks to the Frisky Fest's ability to become more than just a fashion show, but a cultural experience as well. With this experience, the black community was molded into a unit that represents positivity and the city's togetherness. It's a comprehensive effort to know an extension is now available to creatives in spite of the challenges and hurdles that come with the industry, because they're apart of something bigger than runway photos and big lights. It can be said that nothing is more impressive than when players/talent do what it takes to win. In spite of the over exaggeration of popularity the industry may give off during peak season, this show hasn't been hindered by egos and overemphasis; all of the talent feels they have elevated their performance; a "one band, one sound" mentality helped this show get more than a 10/10.
